This is: Kenny Jennings.
He was kind of a nerd. He played chess until he beat it, he programed computers, and he had an obsession with structural engineering. For example, as a hobby, he built a stress tester for bricks. Granted, it was simply two pieces of metal which he would put the brick between and then put weights on, but his methods made it rather meticulous. He actually made a bit of money selling a computer with some of his stress data to a fellow. Of course, the computer also had his chess program on it, which made the buyer a substantial amount more money than he had spent. Kenny never knew it though, as he was crushed under a toppling pile of weights. To put it in his own words, "It takes a lot to smoosh a brick."
