This is her story.
She was a writer, just not the kind of writer she wanted to be. She wrote manuals for products. First it was for simple things, like pencils, ("Do not point sharp pencil at eye. Actually, if you are reading a pencil manual, you'd better not sharpen the thing.") but eventually she graduated to more complicated work. ("Do not point class IV laser at eye... or really anything else for that matter.") While this was almost interesting work, she really wanted to be a playwright.
