He is obsessed with American Indians. This is understandable, as he is 12. He and Tobie often get into arguments as to which are better - cowboys or indians. Tobie supports the notion that cowboys were better, because their skills include gunslinging, talking dirty, being tough, and killing indians. Timmy supports the argument that cowboys were weak from their late nights boozing and jingling their spurs to the rambunctious sounds of player pianos, and the fact that they wear silly hats. Tobie at that point usually objects to Timmy's use of the word silly in reference to cowboy hats, and Timmy usually rebuttles with a swift smack of his makeshift bow. Not a lot of the other kids like Timmy.
