This is: William Gibson.
He thinks he is slick - like a barrel of oil thrown over a slip n' slide on a hot July day. He is in marketing. He wears a three piece suit to make himself look established, when actually most of his marketing plans are colossal failures. These failures include marketing adult diapers to endurance athletes (Never have another marathon pit stop!), Teflon to windscreen manufacturers (The bugs just slip right off!), and SPLA ZAM! soda. When he enters a room children tend to gravitate toward him, tugging along their parents - this explains his numerous contacts in numerous industries. He says that kids are attracted to his "magnetic personality", but really it's the candy he keeps in his pockets, and his sugary cologne.
